Default side air dam?

Hi to all!

I have problem with 08 outie, rocks and mud is damaging the paint in the rear fender flare of the vechile.
Do anybody knows, is the 09 Outlander redesigned air dam fit on to 08 Outlander, and eventually the part number for that part? (or Peugeot 4007 and Citroen C-Crosser part number)

http://paxtech.blogspot.com/2008/09/...pan-model.html

PS. I read somewhere, that the OEM mudguards are not completly save that part of car from rocks, and I belive, that this new air dam is the right solution.

Can anyone with this side sill offer their experiences on whether they prevent paint chipping or not?

I have a 2009 Outlander with the new side skirt. The dealer told me that Mitsubishi has enlarged the skirt to avoid paint chip on the rear fender flares. With only 2000 km and OEM mud guards, I see no paint chip problem for now, but I still get side splash on the rear fender flares. Wait and see...

I thought the paint chipping problem was not only the rear fender but also along the doors. I'd be interested to know if mud guards are even necessary with the 09 side sills.

Default damage

I took a photo about dirt/rocks damage, after car-wash.... My car is 7 months old and has 8500 km driven...

I can`t belive, that`s happening, and that the design is so poor...

Mitsubishi should recall all these vechiles, and free of change change the lover side skirt for newly designed 09 model.

Yep thats what happened to mine.... light sand blasted on the rear quarter panel right in front of the rear wheel well. I immediately put on the OEM splash guards. It seems like it has helped greatly having the splash guards, defenintely recommend them.

Others have chose to use 3m clear bra products to cover that area. A window tinting place should be able to cover it no problem.
