Default side marker lights

Hello,

I am wondering about the side marker lights (located on the front fenders) on Outlander XLS 2009. Aren't they supposed to be somehow sealed? I have noticed that they can be moved a little bit along the body of the car. Will it cause the penetration of water underneath the lights and eventually the rust in this area?

Don't worry, is normal the movement. The lamp is sealed, but to remove it is necessary to move it laterally, for that reason the movement that you comment. . .

Jsrd is right. I hand wash my 08 ES once a week spraying plenty of water at and around the side marker lights and never had any problems with moisture or rust.

Very funny Rip. I'm retired and the retirement community I live in has 2 car wash bays so its no big deal to go down there and wash my outtie. Gives me something to do. Besides I never take my vehicle to car washes because the crap their brushes pick up from other cars can scratch your paint.
