Has anyone installed a set of these
Mitsubishi Outlander side step bar running board 2013 2014 , "BM" Luxurious model,ISO quality,aluminium alloy+stainless steel-in Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group
I have bought a set, should have them in about a week.
I like the way they sit flush against the car, they don't look aftermarket.

The panel shop who are installing the steps tell me they look great, however, the instructions are in Chinese and the three pictures tell you nothing.
You need to take off the plastic sill on both sides of the vehicle.
Using the frame supplied, align it in place to ascertain what grommets etc need to be removed.
Remove a few rubber grommets under the car.
Install the special bolts into the holes under the vehicle and on the sill.
Install the frame to the bolts, make sure you do not push the bolts up into the frame.
Now comes the tricky part, the only way they could fit the actual steps onto the frame was to remove both rear doors.
I am told that it may be possible to squeeze the plastic on the steps alongside the body under where the door hinges are, however, they didn't want to risk it as the plastic may have split.
The problem is, there is not enough clearance between the bottom of the door where it swings open and the sill, hence the doors should be removed.
I will take some photos when I get the car back later today.
