small chip on hood of Outlander
I have a very small chip on the hood of my outlander. I don't think it is in the paint. I think it might only be in the clear coat. Any suggestions? It isn't big by any means but I don't want it to become a problem.
Get a touch-up pen for your color from a Mitsu authorized dealer. It has both clear coat and paint (dual tipped). Or you can find an aftermarket paint supplier who charges your paint into small spray cans or touch up bottles. These people are usually experts and can teach you how to fix your particular paint defects using their products.
I have owned my Outie for a year now. I have 30 - 40 small paint chips on the hood not to mention the additonal chips elsewhere on the car. I commute 2 - 3 times a week from Naperville to Chicago and I don't go offroad. My Outie is Rally Red and these chips are white. It seems like the paint is way too thin. The SUV looks terrible. Does anyone else have this problem? My Outie will look like crap within four years. I owned a GMC Yukon and drove it over 170,000 miles and it didn't have 5 paint chips on the whole thing.
yeah the paint is horrible. I have a 2007. And the area around all the door handles is all scratched up from peoples fingernails. My 11 year old honda civic looks better.
I might get it painted next year
