Default Some help about paint chips!

Hello...sad day...I was at a parking lot, and some guy hit my Outlander with his old accord. Now I have a coin size paint chip and some scratches in the rear fender on driver side, this panel starts at the very bottom of the wheel, and runs to the rear lights, not a big piece.

Now I want to not make this visible, but I dont want to go to the body shop to do this, so is there any other way??
Would touch-up paint pens help? Anyone got it from the dealer, how is it???

Please Help, Thanks =)

You can try touch up paint but its not going to match your paint color perfectly. Your best bet is getting it repainted and blended in properly.

A friend of mine took his new Mazda 5 to his dealer for regular maintenance, while the car was there they scratched it, they did not argue and admitted doing it and wouldcover the repair. Before he left, the guy from there body-shop looked at it and came back to him with a $1000 estimate (sanding, body filler, repainting a 2 day job) and asked him if he was ok with this. He told the guy that he didn't care since they were paying for it. The guys from the body shop did not know that at the time, so right after that he completely change the repair protocol, I'm not sure exactly what they did but 2 hours later he was driving back home with the car and no one can tell that the car was ever damaged.

Wow...2 day job turn into a 2 hour job, LOL! Well, for sure the dealer didn't repaint and body fill it for sure. They just probably touch it up with paint or buff the scratches out. I use to work at a shop, and sometimes (very rare), we accidentally scratch customers' cars, how to hide this? Use some cleaners (brakes) and clean the surface. This cleaner works like polish or is the same as what they use with a buffer, it tends to hide the scratches and sometimes protects it. But take the car to a car wash a few times, scratches do show.

Ask you friend, have him wash the car, and see if the scratches show again, if not...then be happy =)
But yea, this way only works for scratches, very light scratches (BEST WITH LIGHT COLOUR CARS TOO)
