there are dampening tape products out there. they might help you out a bit. check out a place that sells car stereo supplies in your area.

 

My Rockford sub's bass is quite inadequate to cause any rattles, even set up to +6. I was wondering if the amp could be changed out for something stronger?
Or is there some common problem I am not aware of?

 

if you switch out the amp it will not be covered under the warranty. and if you want a more powerful amp, you need to upgrade your sub to make sure that you don't overpower the stock sub. its a lot of hassle with little gain.

For a SUV or CrossOver yeah, I guess but you can get the Lancer for $14K-$22K

 

i owned the 2008 Lancer before i bought my 08 Outlander. trust me, the huge difference in price, there is a definite reason for it. its well worth the extra money.

 

Most subs will rattle a car unless you dynamat everything. Ours for factory is pretty good, and doesn't rattle that bad in mine.
