Default Swap 3rd Row Seating for Storage Area

Looking for someone with a 07' or 08' that is lacking 3rd row seating but wants its. I would like to work out a trade for a set of 3rd row seating (black) for the parts from the storage area compartment. Clearly there is a huge price difference in the parts so it wouldn't be a even even exchange but im sure we could work something out that would result in a much cheaper price then buying the parts. Plus if you added 3rd row seats and purchased them direct what would you do with the storage area parts anyways put them in a corner of your garage?

Im in the North East US would like to do a in person exchange more then anything to ensure that all the parts needed are swapped out.

Drop me a PM if you have an interest.

Another suggestion, you may want to drop buy your dealer and talk to the sales guy about this, he may come accrossa customer that wants the 4cyl and the third row seat. I know that if I was a sales person, I would like to be able to offer your 3rd row seats to a potential customer.

Would be a great Idea but since I live in VT the dealers up here dont even keep the full range outlanders on the lot because the sales are so low on them. I believe there are only a few outlander owners in the state. Worth a shot though you never know. I just dont want to pay like $400USD for the storage area kit and have the 3rd row seats sitting in my storage unit not being used.

Another option is if anyone would like to buy my 3rd row seats and then I would in turn go buy the storage area kit Im open to take bids on it. From what I can tell the wholesale price on the parts for the 3rd row seat parts is just over 2k (Thats freaking crazy!)

Does the quote you gaveearlier cover the side panels? If azchipka sells the third row seats, he'll also need to sell them the rear seatbelts and interior side panels, not just the seat and floor.

You just brought up a good question. I'll have to look at two cars side by side. Interior panels may not be as easy to change.

I haven't looked at a car that doesn't have the tird row, but I assume that they wouldn't have the slot in the upper section for the seat belt to roll in behind the lower panel.

Ahhh who needs seat belts anyways. I mean you cant put kids under 13 back there anyways since it wont fit a car seat or boaster seat. 14+ year olds on long trips just bounce around the car anyways.

And since the 3rd row seating doesnt have any air bags around you have to assume that by putting someone back there instead of the 2nd row your making a choice about what happens in the event of an accident.

So in the end 3rd row seating = drunk friends during a night on the town.

And if there really drunk they are less likely to be killed in a car accident anyways due to the body not being as rigid.

In my mind the reason the cargo kit is better then 3rd row is I can always shove my drunk friend in the trunk with roll back trunk cover on so no one knows he's there anyways. Least that way when he throws up i dont have to clean between the seats but just wash the carpet.

In all fairness in all likelihood the person drunk enough to ride in the cargo area is unlikely to remember the next day anyways [8D]
