Thin paint around windshield washer dispensers?
While I was washing my Outie, I noticed distinct circles around the washer dispensers on the hood. Nothing was sticking out, but you can see what must their place holders...anyone else have this problem?

RE: Thin paint around windshield washer dispensers?
I don't think that's from thin paint. It looks like a scratch from somebody cleaning around the nozzle. Could have been wearing a ring, watch, etc or could have been a debris on the cleaning rag.
It could also be residual sticky stuff from the plastic covers they put on new car hoods/roofs for transport. Try buffing it out with a soft rag and some wax.

Have you tried to buff them out yet? I'm guessing since you just joined the forum this month that you just bought your Outtie. Sounds to me like the plastic covers they had on the hood for transport could of left the marks. They usually have circle cut-outs to go around the spray nozzles. It should buff right off.
If it's actually a deeper scratch on both sides i'd take it to the dealer and have them tell you what could have made the marks. Then make them buff the marks out and detail it too.
I looked at mine yesterday and didn't see any scratches or marks around mine.

Good thought. Try some wax remover / degreaser before going crazy with buffing compounds.
Or....it is not out of the realm of possibilities that it couldbe marks from some fancy washer nozzle installation fixture that they use in the factory on the assembly line. You could be a lucky one that had the fixture out of tolerance when yours got made....or not.
