Finger tight means as tight as you can by hand, actually twising the bolt with your fingers.

But 1nm is what you should aim for,

One bolt is screwed in further that the other by 90 degrees.

But as the 2 bolts are acting on the equal end of a lever (the injector holder) the torque applied is equal at the centre

ok injector bolts.

ensure threads on bolts and holes in head are clean and dry. VERY IMPORTANT

fit injectors and fit holders over the top. fit bolts on either side of injector and tighten evenly by hand turning socket. you should use a straight edge resting across all the injector holders to ensure they are all level.
tighten all bolts to 1nm( which is just above finger tight)

Then on the first injector, tighten one bolt by 90 degrees, then the other bolt by 180 degrees. Move to the next injector, and repeat until all are done the same.

These engine suffer with cracking cylinder heads when they are overtightened or the threads are full of oil or water (causing a hydraulic lock in the hole).

Dibby, I am getting conflicting information. According to the mmc manual its 180 degrees for both bolts.

It also says to lube the threads on the bolt with oil.

Please can you clarify.
