Transmission flush AFT strainer filter location

Transmission flush AFT strainer filter location found
For those doing a transmission flush and are wondering where the ATF strainer is, see the below screen shot taken from page 32 of Mitsubishi manual 23B "Automatic Transaxle Overhaul" . It's bolted to the ATF pump which itself is bolted inside the transmission. You have to remove the transmission and take it apart to get to the strainer/ filter. My advice would be to disregard changing it during a normal AFT flush.
Edited to add: This is for a 2007 with the V6.

2011 w/4 cyl.
Hello, I do not know if this is of any help as it is from my experience a few weeks ago.
I helped a friend do a transmission drain and fill on his 2011.
I bought a pan gasket and a strainer/pick-up.
The fluid, at 90K, was as dark as the darkest (industrial grade) maple syrup.
The pan came off easily.
The filter removed with 2 bolts. It was a stainless steel mesh.
I don't know if this is what you're dealing with. Kira
