Hi:

I went to buy a new 2008 XLS yesterday . We agreed on the price and the trade-in on my car…

They asked me what color I wanted and told them bright red…..The manager said that in south Florida they could only get Black, White or Blue….Does anyone know if this is true…

I could not believe what I was hearing I thought I was in the Twilight Zone ….

Any insight would be appreciated ….

 

im from miami, and I know I saw red 2007's in the mitsu dealer by dadeland.

I doubt what they told you is true.

they lie so much its incredible.

they probably just dont want to play the $100 - $200 it would cost to tow from another dealer... they like to sell what they have in stock

 

Let me guess.... They had a black, white and blue on on the lot, but no red one.

 

They did have a Black 2008 on the lot with everything I wanted...I tried 3 other dealers and none of them would get me a Red Outlander.....

They did have a red 2007 LS but they said that they could not find a XLS in red with nav and lux package....

 

They may not have any (with all your options) nearby. They could order one but it may take some time to come in. In fact,the bright red would have to be 07 because they swicthed to a darker red for 08.

 

Outlanders are hard to find for some reason. I bought the only 07 XLSOutlander Graphite Gray Pearl Navi, Sun + Sound, Luxury, AWD in the New Jersey area. I seached every dealer and found 1 that had all these options. No other dealer within 150 miles of me had it. Only a couple even had navigation and they were the wrong color. I came across only 1 graphite gray with navi and it just happen to have the rest of the options I wanted.

 

I spoke to Mitsubishi USA....They said that they would try to find a Outlander with what I want in it and tell the dealer.... We will see....

 

You should have been told top of the range cars xls are not painted in solid colors even black is metallic all except white and they are hard to come by

I just received a e-mail from a dealer that Red will be available late Jan 2008.....I guess thatI will have to wait for my Outi......
