Default Trouble findinng Master Cylinder

I have ordered and had to return 2 master cylinders that are supposed to fit the 03 outlander but no luck.. The dealer says that they are on back order from Japan. My outlander was built in Japan and If there is a rebuild kit available I can't find one. Any help would be appreiated. P.S. ABS brakes

Sorry, I read the title of your post as you were having "trouble finding the master cylinder" and was going to reply that if you can't find the master cylinder that you shouldn't be working on a car. I can empathize with you on finding the parts as can everyone who has worked on a car.
No help, sorry.

Hve you tried Dealerfit.com?

And sometimes there is a choice of early and late model year, due to running roduction changes. Might be a good idea to have your dealer do some 'puter work and find the build date.

Have you tried Rock Auto??

RockAuto Parts Catalog

Stay away from Dorman...Cardone, Raybestos, and Wagner are good brands.

Still lookin' for it?I know a good one and i just want to share it. I think you might like it though. I use this one so, it'll be good if you will like it too. Still not having a problem with it and it works perfectly fine. Here: A1 Cardone Remanufactured Brake Master Cylinder

That did not work either. I sent the Master Cylinder to them and it was returned as they could not repair. I was able to locate a new one by calling Mitsubishi. They told me that there were 3 in the USA so I ordered one from a dealer in Tenn.

I wasted 2 months trying to find a replacement part and had quite a hassle getting my money back on returns for aftermarket that did not fit.
