There is a way to change the tone, so I assume there is a way to turn it off. Check in the manual. I recall reading something about this in there. It is likely the dealer has to make this change for you. Ask them at your next service.

Switch contact on but do not start car. Press info. Than you arrive at a screen which you do not see when driving. There you can choose to two modes for the turning signal. One signal is single tone, other one is two tone. The single tone will ease your mind. You can also in the same screen change fuel consumption method. (ltr per 100 or km per liter) and other things.
