Tweeter Install

RE: Tweeter Install
Here ya go (if you don't have it already)
- Open up the front doors and lower the windows
- You'll see some triangular shaped plastic covers
where the interior trim meets the window.
- You need to pry off the trim pieces. Use a flat
screwdriver and protect the edges with a soft cloth.
- Just pry it out - it will snap out after enough
force is applied
- When the covers are off, the factory wiring is right
there.
- The rest of the install depends on the tweeters you
purchased.
- I cut off the factory plug and attached the solid
coloured wire to positive and the wire with the black
stripe to negative.
- After mounting the tweeter, make sure the trim cover
still fits in its place and snap it back on.
- There are no cross-overs to worry about.
Good luck

RE: Tweeter Install
Ok, so I finally got tweeters, and hooked them up like everyone said, and they work. My question is: How did everyone mount the tweeters w/o stock hardware? Also, how does the stock hardware hold the tweeters in place? I was in a hurry, so I hot glued them to the grilles by the speaker surround. It has worked so far, but wonder what will happen during the summer, so I am interested in a stock setup. Help?

RE: Tweeter Install
If you can't find the stock setup, take a look at this old post from the past. Done by chinna_n.
Tide cans make good tweeter mounts I guess.

I haven't done mine yet. Poor cash flow.
