Default Tyre profile change

Hi folks,

can I use 225/60/18 tyres on my Mitsubishi Outlander 2008 that currently runs on 225/55/18. Hopefully it will give more comfortable ride over rough roads?

You are increasing the sidewall height by over a inch, that should give you more cushion, but it could also result in rubbing during turns.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but i will be changing tyres soon this summer before going on a 7k trip. I am on 2010 XLS, so my questions are
1. Need probably all season or summer? I have winter here.
2. What brands? I want it quiet, so probably hard compound rubber as soft compound makes too much noise.
3. What are you guys using? Right now i think my stock is Geolander.

I was planning on Veidestein SUV Sportrac 5. They seem to have some very good reviews and quite reasonable in price.
My trip from April is not quite as long as yours (3k miles) but towing our caravan.....
