1. Keep registration in the wallet or hide in the car.

2. Don't put YOUR address in the navi, but put an address that's near your house.

3. Hide the garage opener under seat or somewhere else.

It's ridiculous I paid $1,800 for this outdated package and then to be charged for late-arriving upgrades. Like other members posted, I would have used my $150 TomTom with up-to-date maps/software and been happier. I will keep everyone informed of the results of my complaint to the BBB.

Well, I told everyone I would reply when this issue was resolved. Mitsubishi (Corporate HQ in CA) is sending me the "2008" upgrade when it is released in December this year for FREE. It does help to contact the BBB with valid complaints.

December of what year??? LOL
If it took until July of 2009 to get an update from 2007, why would we believe there is another release around the corner???
BTW: congrats on the free promise...Wonder if there is a class action opportunity here for all who purchased new systems with outdated functionality???
Any lawyers out there with an opinion?

Question for those who did buy this latest update. Does the system provide a more complete text to voice in the US, or does it continue to just identify major interstates and not identify other street names

I questioned the woman at Mitsubishi about the delays. She mentioned an issue with the supplier that has been resolved but didn't go into detail. She just said the 2008 update will be available November/December this year. I can only hope that's true...

If the 2008 update comes out nov/dec that would be awesome. I'm just not counting on it... my hopes have been let down two years in a row. This just means I wont buy the 2007 like I was planning this summer and never got around to it. Guess whats another 4 months after waiting 2 yrs.

One question for someone that did do the update and had the DVD patch before they did it. What happened? Did the DVD patch get knocked out?

I realize that the GPS thing is new to you at least the Mitsu system but now that you have it, is it giving a text to voice feature ie, turn left on Jones street? My current version and I assume all that have had this for the last few years simply says turn left.
