I received it too. I purchased my 2012 V6 last year from Indiana and noticed the excessive rust on the suspension components when I installed a trailer hitch. The recall should cover the rear as well, as there is rust on every weld.

It looks like the recall only applies to vehicles sold or registered in cold weather states:

However, those vehicles are recalled only if they were originally sold in or ever registered in the following states: Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia.
What happens if an owner moves to one of those states in the future? I've never heard of a recall with a geography limitation.

I guess still eligible as the vehicle was sold or registered in those states.
to double check owners may contact MMNA customer service at 1-888-648-7820. MMNA's number for this recall is SR-16-003

Why would the 2.4L not be affected?

I had to have my complete exhaust and catalytic converter replaced due to rust and corrosion, has anyone had this recall performed already?

Are you saying there's a new recall for the exhaust system corroding? Would that also be for the v6? I am sorry to see all of these problems coming up with the v6, and also with the new ones.

The recall is still showing as 'repair not yet available '. If you are concerned the notice says you can stop at a dealer and they will inspect it. The Canadian repair was to inspect and put on some corrosion resistant goop.
