warranty question

Default warranty question

hey folks, does anyone know if the exhaust system is covered under warranty? i am still covered and i am having a vibration coming from it. seems like a bracket broke off.

The exhaust system should be covered under the 5yr/60,000 mile warranty. Under federal law the catalytic converter is covered longer. I believe it's something like 8yr/80,000. One thing to consider. The vibration may actually be the heat shield which protects the spare tire from the muffler. Some people on this forum have reported problems with the shield.

Not sure if heat shield is considered part of exhaust system, but it still should be covered under 5yr/60,000 mile warranty. It's a very simple part. Just a piece of metal that hangs down to keep spare from getting too much heat from muffler. If a bolt has come loose it should be a quick inexpensive fix.
