Default Washable cabin air filter?

Has anyone come across a washable cabin air filter for the outlanders? The one I bought was a wix and over $40!. I saw a company called tourqe that makes some but they dont make them for the outlander.

Anyone come across one or a DIY from a washable furnace filter perhaps? I found one a while back on a tacoma forum some guy made, looked pretty good.

Might try to adapt it to the outlander if I cant find a better one.

I haven't seen a washable filter, but if you check the thread titled "difference in filter in glove box" you will see I listed 3 brands of cabin filters that can be bought for around $20 at local auto parts stores.
