We've found factory cruise in Outlander 2.4 Mivec
Hi all.
Some days ago we have found that European model of Outlander with 2.4 Mivec (AT/MT) engine have factory cruise control, which can be activated in few steps - you need only hands, solder and buy cruise-switch and new one switch for stop pedal (and one for clutch pedal if you have MT). All these parts costs $40-60 depending of your nearest auto-store..
Soon we will test if there the same situation will be in Outlander 2.0.
All info about testing your car to see if it has factory cruise-control and if "yes" - what to to next you can find by this url at my own forum (it's not a spam, but really, I can't imagine how can I transfer a lot of photos, info and discussions here).
And the last - I'm Russian speaking man and all materials regarding cruise-control in Outlander are in Russian too. I don't know if this will be useful for english-speaking persons (you can translate this url into English using google or other online translator). If this material will be interesting for you - I'll translate myself (with good technical English) all info and make different thread at my forum especially for English-speaking persons.
So, the original thread:

And auto-translated (via Google) thread:

I'll be glad if this material will be useful for this forum
Also, I'll be happy about any comments and "how I make it at my car" replies
Sincerely your's, Titus.

It certainly sounds great for people who don't have the cruise control. However, from the looks of it, it is for the 1st generation Outlander. Most people here have a 2nd generation Outlander which includes cruise control in all markets. I have to say, the cruise control on the Outlander is horrible; it just "stabs" at the throttle and the transmission ends up changing gears too often.
Simply, I don't know how much people has 1st generation Outlander, if any - this possibly will interest thread for them.Yes, Outlander 2nd gen (here it goes like "Outlander XL") has cruise control.
About horrible or not - possibly.. I have aftermarker cruise control (Rostra) installed by myself on my Lancer-1.6 and very like it at long rides
