I was switching from snows to summer tires and had the front passenger wheel off. There was a cable hanging on a cross bar which had a label on it that said battery but it was only about 18"s long with a fuse attached to it and could not come close to being long enough to connect to vehicle battery? It had a lead/copper end with a hole in middle to attach to some sort of bolt.

Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks

 

Could be part of the harness for accessories like the wire harness for the tow lights on the newer ones.
