Question What is this cutout for?

I've just got a new (to me) 2012 Outlander.

In the passenger footwell, in the plastic trim on the side, about half way up there is a circular cut out. It's definitely supposed to be there as the plastic is slightly moulded around it and I've seen it on pictures of other Outlanders.

What on earth is it for? I've read through the owners manual and there is no mention of it.

Thanks.

That's great, thanks. I would *never* have guessed that!
