Default Where do you hang your smartphone??

Just got a new 2012 O Sport and i'm trying to figure the best place to put my iPhone- which I use for traffic and GPS routing.
So far it looks like a vent clip will be a bit too high (plus I don't want to block one of the vents)
I don't really like the window mounts because they are usually blocking too much view or they are not in a place that is easy to reach and see.
I'm hoping that some will share where they are attaching theirs.

Thanks,
Al

I put my phone in the change holder (the cupholder-looking thing right next to the lighter). My phone has a charging port on the top left part, so it stands up perfectly and I can see the map. Usually when I need to navigate, I turn on bluetooth audio and play music from my phone - the best part of this is that Google maps navigation instructions play over the speakers. The phone mutes/pauses the music while the navigation voice instruction is playing and picks right back up after that.

I have a 2005 Outty and currently using an adroid phone. I was thinking about buying one of these and stick it on the windshield:

Swoosh, I bought one of those for my Ranger. Works great for my Android and Blackberry. Might be a bit of a reach in the Outlander...Ranger windshield is right there.
