Default Wimpy Horn

Is it just me, or does the 07 Outlander (LS for me) have the most embarrassing horn? My other car is an '04 Alero and the horn on that really packs a punch. I have looked at aftermarket horns, but has anyone else replaced their horn with a more punchy horn? I don't want like an air-horn - just one that has a little more punch and less hollow sound.

Thanks!

Magnum Blasters are the way to go - about 130 db - I replaced my stock horns on my motorcyle with these (and you think the Outie horn is wimpy!).

My Harley Sportster had a wimpy buzzer horn (like the Outlander)..it was better to just blip the throttle LOL

I ended upputtin on a Nautilus/Stebel/Wolo Compact Air Horn..something like 136 dBs...MUCH better..sounds like a Ferrari horn

The horns look fairly easy to get to..you can see them in front of the radiator..

Welcome to Japanese cars.
That's because it's rude to honk your horn in Japan, and they rarely ever use it. I cannot even remember ever using the horn on my Outlander.

A horn in south florida is something you canot live without.. lol. Well back on topic, I think its just find, I've never owned any domestics of course, so I must5 be used to it, it may have a higher note(squeacky) sound to it, but its defenetly louder than my previous Lancer RA, it does what its supposed to, and any louder would just give you bragging rights.

Theres a video where a cop pulls them over and they blast the horn when the cop goes to the front of the car to check it out. Im pretty sure the cop is wearing a hearing aid now. lol
