winter gas = bad mpg
Just wanted to share ever since my first tank of gas in march I have improved gas mileage.
I thought there was something with the car causing drop in gas mileage. Turns out to be winter gas formulation. I believe a percentage of winter gas is not gas, so you burn more gas volume to go the same speed. Given the outlander is not the most aero dynamic vehicle, this could be more noticable than other vehicles. But I noticed increase in MPG in all of my vehicles.

Definitely noticed about 2mpg increase with a couple recent fillups. Wasn't sure if it's the formulation or actual ambient temperature increase allowing the engine to warm up faster. Could be a combination I suppose, but to your point, I notice it more with this car than others.
