Hello Raider fans,

I have imported a nice 2007 Raider to the Netherlands and i am very happy with it.
The only problemis that I only have one key for the car and this is a key without any electronics in it, it is a blanc steel key.
I would like to operate my car with a remote key but I don't know if my car is equipped with an original transponder system.
Can anyone tell me how I can find out if my car is equipped with this system?

I have no clue on how to find out if it was equipped with the transponder system other than calling a dealership and asking them if they can look it up by the VIN. Otherwise, it will probably be easier/cheaper to get an aftermarket alarm system that has the features you are looking for and have it installed.

I think its best to buy a new system and gorget about the original stuff.

 

Yeah it seems like alot of hassle and typically dealerships charge an arm and a leg for transponder keys. I'd just cut them out of the loop and have an aftermarket security system that will protect the vehicle better than the factory system does anyways and end up having 2 transponder keys and not have to worry about the dealership at all.
