Had this Montero Sport now for 4 Years, runs great but am having a hard time locating a good service/repair manual.
It's getting up there in to the 60k mile range and I wish to change the
timing belt(s), but alas,.. no info on how to do it....
Have the electrical diagrams (bought on line), but what a monster circuit
just for the front wheel AWD drive system!
Looks as if it's been designed by the "Mad Hatter" himself!
Just changing the spark plugs was a service technicians nightmare;
(having to remove the air intake manifold etc!)
Why do they not emphasize these engineering fiascos in their
advertizing?

first off, welcome to the forum.. next, you should be able to find a diagram under the hood on how the belts go.. there are tensioner pullies to be loosend on the timing belts... but other than that just swap the belts
