2002 Montero Sport XLS 3.5
Hey all I just arrived and have been getting lots of advice from this forum. You all are amazing in what I kind find to help out with my car problems. Anyways to the point. So I have a 2002 Montero sport with a 3.5 that has roughly 170,000 on it. This is an amazing SUV and love the way it rides, I even added Airbags to be able to help with the spring weight. The car runs great burns about 2 quarts in two months so not bad but might need to address this soon. When the car gets warm and I reverse it pulsates, what I mean is it feels like its not completely connecting to gears, I reverse and if I don't push on the gas pedal it will slow down to a stop when I turn, If I just reverse in a straight line its fine. it works. When turning forward or straight now it will pulsate like that. d--d--d--d I am not sure if anyone has had this problem. I have checked my differentials and they seem to be great, they are full with oil and not leaking. I am having a slight leak in my front steering boot on the passengers side so I am wondering if that has anything to do with it? not sure. I want to get it fixed because this is the vehicle we take on campouts and off-roading, its also my business vehicle. Thank you for all your help in advance.
