i'm having problems with my lancer 4g92 sohc 1994 check engine light..whenever i put the airflow sensor connected,i get an incorrect combustion,the tailpipe will be smoky...the car lost power and fuel consumption is very bad..i'd change the fuel pump and the ecu unit but it's still the same..i,ve taken the car to the nearest service centre to be diagnosed and told that there was no air flow reading at all..that i should change back the ecu..

 

I dont think your ecu is the problem, did u replace the maf sensor?

 

already did it...though i also did tried changing the distributor,but it's still the same..unlesss if disconect the maf sensor,the idling will be okay..so with the smoky tailpipe....is there any possibilities of miss type of ecu that i am using...

 

Doesthe ecu that u replaced havethe same part # as the old one?

What color is the smoke?
