Default 4g93t rebuild

Well I own a 1995 mirage w/ 1.8l and am the original owner. I love my girl and have big plans for her. I've replaced the motor twice now. once because I hydrolocked it. and once I was racing a focus and redlined my baby for the last time and <IMG src=smileys/smiley19.gif border="0">through a rod. but anyways I bought a new motor for her off ebay for $199. I'm later planning on dropping a 4g93t into her within the next 2 yrs. I've located a longblock. w/ ecm and have plans to bring the boost up to 30psi. I know it's gonna take alot of time, tears and sweat. not to mention $$$ but hey somebodys gotta do it. It's the first time I've actually had to go the whole 9 yds. as far as the rebuilding of the block and soforth to withstand so much boost. if you have any input for me please do. I could use all the help I can get. thanks,</P>

check out this forum, they are all about mirage engine swaps. http://www.mirageforums.net/phpBB2/portal.php
the 2.4 4G64 fits in with a bit O magic, and no rewiring, the eclipse turbo manifold fits on it. thats Big Power. and not as expensive as buying motor from Aus/Japan/NZ , shippin, then building up.

people have put 4G63s in them, lots you can do.

I have a 95 mirage LS too, just finished doin some headwork last night.. wish they made more parts for our engine. or wish i made more $.<edited><editID>monkey mitsu</editID><editDate>38034.5337152778</editDate></edited>

my friend has a 98 mirage DE, he just bought a 2000 1.8 engine and a 2000 standard tranny. he also bought a huge turbo and i think hes planning on running about 30psi also. hes got the back lip from the evo IV and the evo IV wing and we did custom side skirts and a custom front lip. Yesterday we put coil over on it and dropped it to where the fender is lower than the wheel. I told him i didnt think that was a good idea because he has about 1/8 of an inch between the tire and metal from his fender. and hes got some 17s on it but he says "itd be iight"..so..i dont know.

I've been looking to drop my mirage but that was my worry too. I haven't exactly come up with what exactly to do but 17 in. rims are about as big as I'd go too. unless I decided to change the wheel well. I also am looking into playing with the offset of the wheel. does anybody know the distance from the center of a stock alloy wheel from the mirage to mounting face of the rim. I took mine off during the winter a few years ago and someone ripped my rims off. so I just got some old jetta rims on it now.
