Mitsubishi L200 2.4 4G64 SOHC engine - replace with 2.4 Outlander DOHC
I am in Cape Town South Africa.
I am new to this forum, so please bear with me as I find my way around.
I have a 2006 Mitsubishi L200 2.4 (SOHC 4g64) double-cab Colt that has no motor. (Longitudinal mount [rear wheel drive] ).
I can get a 2008 Outlander 2.4 motor (DOHC - Transverse mount [front wheel drive] ) and I would like to know if it is the same sub assembly and whether it would be an easy installation to transplant it into the L200..?
Thanks!

- What would I need to check before undertaking this project..?
- what are the pitfalls and would there be a problem linking the transmission from the longitudinal position motor to this motor?
Thanks!
