hey there. i'm new to mitsubishi. my daughter bought one. a stunning 2004 spyder. she got it from a dealer who spared no expense making it almost showroom worthy, on the outside anyways. new top, new paint, new tires, new radiator. no dents. not even little ones. immediately, i suspect an accident. but the work was well done, so 'meh'. we both went for the test drive and i heard some noises which made me uncomfortable, so i told daughter not to buy the car until the BIG NOISE was figured out. to no avail, as she was already in love with the car. now, among other smaller problems, it seems the BIG NOISE is a loose rod. thank you in advance for letting me bug the crap out of you. if you have pointers to sources of advice, feel free. the adventure begins.........:eek

New member, just traded in our 2000 Montero sport limited with 215,000 miles for a 2010 outlander gt with 36,000 miles. Montero had been with us since new and never let us down. Outlander has every package available and hope it can last as long and reliably as the Montero. My first question is do I have to use synthetic motor oil? The owners manual did not specify, just said 5w-20 that is some blah blah specification approved for gasoline engines. Thanks all!
