bankin' it all on a 2.6 head swap!
Hello folks!
I'm two states away from home, and I have a BUNCH of work to do and I'm going to need a vehicle that can do some light towing.
There is a 1987 Dodge Raider sitting outside and I'm told all it needs is a cylinder head for its 2.6 Mitsubishi engine. I've located a few potential donors at reasonably nearby junk yards, but it'll be my first head swap (I've never even performed a timing adjustment). But I'm hoping that with some guidance from the folks on this forum, I might just succeed.
Any suggestions for where I should ask for tips and advice before pulling the donor head?
Profuse thanks!

Ouch. Too cool for school, eh?
I have Chilton's "Pickups and Montero 1983-1985 repair manual," but my experience is that forums are a good source of clever tips such books can't possibly include all of. Often there will be a person with recent experience with the same project. Every course I ever took in college had required texts, but the professors served a purpose as well. But then I had a few professors who were inordinately self-impressed dicks too. I suppose the difference is that they were paid.
