hey, it only works when im doing 40 and over...and if im revving high to accelerate then it works fine, im getting the impression the pump for it is packing up???

 

Do u have access to a/c gauges? If you can post what pressure readings are on the low side and high side that would help.

 

when i got the air con regassed, the guy said all readings were fine as he checked for me, theres no reason why it shouldnt work as theres no leaks and preassure is fine???

 

Take it back to the guy and have him fix itb/c there is a problem w/ the a/c. It shouldn't just start working at 40 mph.

 

theres no reason to doubt my friend as he has been doing air con servicing for a long time. but not had many galants, and im looking more into the system being at fault as its icy cold when im doing more than 40 mph but blowing normal cool air when under 40 mph. obviously the engine is running faster so pumping the system quicker. this is why im questioning the pump as the gas is fine and over 40 mph the system works perfectly. this is like one of those nasty little faults that happens when your driving and seems unexplainable as when you test it, all shows well.....
