Hey, my name is Kevin & I'm from Central CA currently holding it down here in Knoxville, TN. I have a 96' Eclipse RS with factor silver, custom body kit, 18" RVM Palazzo chrome rims, custom chrome side mirrors, AEM cold air intake, DC headers, custom OBX dual exhaust, and I'm currently working on interior modifications. I have done other custom modifications to the car like after market head lights and tail lights, rear spoiler, window tint, and I'm well on my way to having a sweet ryde...almost. I have had many internal issues with my recently purchased pre-owned car, such as a needed replacement of the alternator, ECU, IAT sensor, and TPS sensor. I have recently had other problems with my 11 year old beauty. I took off my steering wheel SRS air bag to color customize the car's interior more, and since then, the SRS light has remained on while the car is running. The check engine light also remains on and when I had it scanned on the air diagnostic meter, it said the code was the "air and fuel meter." Prior to the light coming on, I had custom dual exhausts added. Since I added the exhaust, I have noticed substantial horsepower loss and a lack of response. I think I'm going to have the single exhaust replaced and keep the other exhaust for looks. What do you think I should do to get the lights to turn off? I have already done the reset the negative on the battery for up to 10 minutes and disconnected the ECU.
Other than the engine having 198,000 miles and desperately needing and engine change, but that will be done as time and money allow. The clutch and transmission will also be replaced. Once that is changed, I will get a performance chip upgrade and anything that will up the horsepower, not including Turbo; I want to keep the RS stock. My baby is well on its way to being a hot ryde. View my pic and tell me what you think!
