Hi I am Ashley. I am new here. I just got a 1996 Eclipse GS a few weeks ago. Its my project. I paid $400 for the shell basically. It came with all the interior parts, which were spray painted pink and black. I just finished sanding that off today and we have all the interior parts out to primer, sand then then paint with actual paint hopefully this weekend. I am doing white and black inside with a few pink marble accents. Next I plan on putting a body kit on, carbon fiber hood, wing and splitter. The car will be a platnium white with some charcoal graphics and some pink mable graphics as well. Black head and tail lights and maybe black rims. Next I will do the engine, which I know NOTHING about yet but am trying to learn lol. I had a very nice fast Jetta before but I ended up getting a truck... now I finally have my project car. All I need is money and knowledge I am really excited to have found a site that I can learn from.

 

Ok I lied lol, I think. I am having a hard time figuring out what engine and I guess what model I have. I thought it was a GS and was worried it used to have (the engine was gone when I bought it) a 420A motor but I did a carfax report and it says its a GS-T which would be awesome! The engine sticker also says it has a 4g63 engine. Now just to confirm before I buy a engine lol.
