Default Hello all

Hey guys I'm new to the forum;but not new to mitsu's. I'm on my second eclipse with a 420a. Now I am buying a '98 spyder with the 2.4l SOHC and am here to learn about any performance mods for this motor if there are any. I also have a pretty good knowledge of motors in general especially the 420a consdering I have rebuilt 3 of them. I hope to learn as well as be of some help to those in need. Thank you

Just curious, why did you never go for the GST or GSX?

No reason really, they just fell in my lap for the right price. The most i've paid for the cars was $1800 for the '98 Spyder I just bought. Most have had minor problems that wereeasy tofix. Plus complete rebuild kits for the 420a run at about $400 or less and I have access to a shop so it can be done in a weekend. Plus why go the conventional route when it is so much more fun and challenging to step outside the norm.

Because its so much easier and cheaper to make power from a GST/GSX

With the 420a you going more into style then performance cause it much harder to get any horses

Well I agree w/ sebba and 4g63419 abt getting a gst/x, but a lot of people like the challange by building w/ the 420a. Everyone is different.

i dont understand why anyone would like spending more money for a slower car that you cant drive on the street lol
