Hello from AZ
I'm from AZ but my wifes uncle's 2003 Mirage is in Puerto Rico. I posted a question in the "Mirage" section of this forum looking for some help. Hopefully you guys can help get the car back on the road for him since he still owes on it

I was in Phoenix,Arizona last week and DAMN I-51 speeding camera gave me a ticket I was going to the airport Sky Harbor. Arizona speed limit is weird. it was 65 and then 55.
I drove for 4 days from Phoenix to Flaggstaff without any violation and then I was about to go home to Boston a Speed Camera took my pic doing 65 mph on a rental car.
Do you think I will get a ticket? I need your advice

Probally only if the rental company turns you in. They ( cops ) may ask them who the car was rented to that day and time and they will track you down that way by your drivers license picture.( Camera takes a front and rear pic) ( I would call them to see if they do.........)
You probally have a 50 -50 chance .....where here ( us AZ drivers) have only a 10% chance to get out of it. ( thats if the pictures are bad or you're not in your own car )
You can beat it here also if you are driving someone else's car and they dont turn you in.( they dont have to turn you in)
I drive a Concrete Mixer and our company turns in our drivers if they get caught. ( they usualy get caught on the Red Light ones - our trucks are governed to 60 mph so not any speed camera tickets- I know of
)
Next time you come here get the map with the camera locations but you still have to watch out for the mobile suv ones too!

Thanks that's what the Security at the airport told me that I have a 50-50 Chance of getting a speed ticket if you are out of state.
He said he got 2 speeding ticket on I-51.
Oh well if I get a the ticket I will just have to pay it and It was my fault.
But I rather BE CAUGHT by a speeding camera than a State Police.
By the way What was the question about the Mirage?

Trying to find some kind of motor that will bolt up in place of the 1.6 where everthing will hook up. They want $900 for a short block over there when I can find a whole low mile long block here for $200. Just cant find another 1.6 anywhere though. We have no one that can put a motor together but have someone that can do the swap on one. He still owes 8 months on the car, and its his only transportation. Doug
