Hi All!
I have an 05, Mits Evo Mr. I want to start upgrading the engin. I've had this car for 2 years now and I want to start upgrading the engin. I won't lie, I know nothing about this stuff, but I want to learn! I love this car, and want to learn from you guys. Tell me the tips and tricks to making this a rocket! I went to this place near me, the only place within 50 miles that would do engin work that I know of. I wanted a Blow off valve, as I was told it would increase the turbo spool up speed. They sold me a Turbo excess or Turbo X valve. It's wicked loud but I'm loosing tons of pickup. A mechanicI know said I need adiverter valve to put the blow off back into the car.What is a good type to get? What do you recommend?Please send me a link to the best diverter valve for the MR. I also have a K&N air filter in the evo. What is next? What should I do to up the engine?What is the best order of upgrading? Let me know guys! Thanks!

Emonz is your man for evos....what i know is, go with a new turbo kit, better internals and exaust/headers FMIC, bov all those goodys...no body kit...welcome

First welcome your from WeymouthMa? I work up in that area, and I live in Bridewater Ma. What you are in deperate need of is too read our websites Evo FAQ section. The best BOV for you and cost effective would be the JDM MR Diverter OR the IX diverter. Both are around $100 or so.
If you had gone into the Evo FAQ section you would have found a write up called "how to get your Evo8 to run 12s" https://mitsubishiforum.com/m_62135/tm.htm all the mods youll need to make your car quick. If you want even faster we will need to talk. However id recommend just doing some bolt ons because you can get about 50WHP from a few and a flash and that is a huge feeling difference. Besides that you might want to be carful making the car to fast because the MR 6 spd tranny is pretty weak and most people swap them out for the 5 spd because it is stronger, but dont let that scare you just wanted to put that out there
