Hey
Well turns out I've owned a 1989 Mitsubishi Starion 2.6 Turbo for 2 weeks and not even known it...
A member of the family who I lost touch with died last month and it was only yesterday that I found out he'd left me his Mitsubishi in his Will...
The last time I saw the car it was 5 years old, shiny as hell, had a meaty 2.6 turbocharged motor... When it got towed to my front door this morning it was far from that!
Now the car is 21 years old, faded as hell, has a non-starting 2.6 turbocharged motor and the once mint alloys have now been left to corrode...
Turns out just a few weeks before he died he bought a bunch of parts and planned to start restoring the ole girl.
They were all in the boot... Which wouldn't open!! After a bit of "fixing" it opened! Here is what was there:
Set of windscreen wipers
Bosche battery
Brake disks and pads
Exhaust muffler
Not much but at least it will lower the cost of restoring it by just a bit!
After a bit of poking around it seems the engine has blown the head gasket and needs lots of TLC.
So I guess now the first thing I should do is to take the engine apart and see what's what with that head gasket!
You'll be seeing a lot of me on this site, as it's going to take me a while to get the beast roaring again... Hopefully not too long though!

Wow, welcome I didn't even notice we had another Starion owner. I also own one and love it. If you haven't yet I would suggest joining up with starquestclub.com that's a forum I am also a part of and it's specifically focused on the Starion/Conquest platform.
