Hey.
I just got a " new " intake from my friend....its a cheap ebay 1..but i payed 10 bucks for it. Althought the tubing seems a little cheap, can i make up for it by using a new K&N high proformance filter? Also i was wondering if i should put it in at all...can it do some serious damage? or will it make something light up..

Depends on if its a RAM Or COLD, RAM will throw your IAT sensor low/high input code up

That is a short RAM. Nothing to worry about. an intake is and intake in most cases. Just Ebay filter can fall apart and cause issues. So a KNN or AEM or injen would be a good fit. Also if the piping uses a fort braket to be bolted in place it make be made of cheap materials and break off which has happend to one of my cars in the past.

 

My engine is all stock dude.. yea i painted my valve cover, Put a throttlebody spacer on it, and a High flow header and cat. But my head and block are stock, Internals and all.
And the RAM intake on that link is pretty much the same thing i have on mine. It does throw my CEL on showing intake air temp Low/High input. And i have installed a brand new sensor. Im going back to the stock intake and just dropping in a K&n in their.
