Im austin, 19 years old and a current mustang driver...

I really love american muscle but im facinated with the japanese tuner world, no one has more passion and respect for each other then tuners. My guys are always cocky jerk like muscleheads. Im thinking of getting an eclipse, most likly a 2nd generation, being my price range is very low, about 2,000 max. i want to sell my mustang to get this..

I look forward to getting to know you all, its like starting over, i gota learn about the eclipse and the type of people that go with them just like i did with my mustang a year ago up until now,

should be fun

 

musclehead is definately a different world then japanese tuner's live in. dont get caught off guard, there are plenty of idiots and know-it-all's in this world tho. to check the water before you dive into it.

A muscle head going tuner! I like the sound of that lol. There isn't that much wrong about muscle, but I will choose tuner and imports over any muscle. 2G Eclipse are awesome and there is soo much that you can do with them. My wife has a 3G and I have a 1G Eclipse. So yeah we love them. When I get a good enough paying job, I'll be shooting to get a Evo VIII - Evo IX hopefully. But there are pricey , But I do want to welcome you to the dark side Wellsuatin! :-p

i found one for 1700 but i gota check it out, i know the front bumbers dont have paint, just primerd, and maybe a crack, ill check it out today and post pics n u can tell me what u think

 

The best 2g out there has to be the GSX. If you can find one, get one.

The problem with this is that so many other people are 'hack job' modders, and you will likely pick up a basket of someone else's problems.

If 2,000 is your cap, you won't find much for that, and you certainly won't find anything good. I recommend saving a little longer.

i found a 2g for 1700. it has a dent in the driver side door, the car is silver but it has a black hood and fenders, anda primer fron bumper that looks like it once had the eagle talon sighn on it. theres other minor body damage, and the owner said 5th gear pops out sometimes, whats taht mean? and he also said he could fix it for 300 dollars?

 

Dude that car sounds like a heap of ****, don't bother.

If you want reliability then you should go for the non turbo 2g's, but if you want speed, you should go for the Turbo'd ones.

Was the one you went to look at front wheel drive or all wheel drive?

 

it would need some work lol.

im not sure i only looked at it, the owner was not present, i called him tho i just didnt ask that question, i know its not turbo. it also has a crack in the windshield. i guess its not worth it when u look at the big picture. but i havent seen one in my area for a long time, oh well. i guess i wait a while longer lol

 

That car isn't worth the gas in the tank if its non turbo.
