RE: Hey everybody
Welcome. The only motor you can swap into it is a 2.4 liter dohc EDZ motor... which only makes an extra 15 hp n/a and you would need to make(becuase they do not sell one) a new front motor mount, cut and weld the oil pan, and get a 1 1/2 inch or greater cow induction hood because the motor sits higher. The best thing to do is a turbo kit for big power but if you want a little go I would suggest getting some bolt on's.

RE: Hey everybody
For one whole month there was a thunder storm, now the weather is gettin a little better. The reason why I want to swap my motor is because I have over a 100,000 miles on it already. So once its dead I want to swap in a new motor and I was wondering what I would need to do that (like motor, trans, wiring, ect.). So when I get a new motor in I might turbo it, but most likely bolt on's. Thanks for n e advice.

RE: Hey everybody
I might not turbo it, so soon, but how long do u think my motor will last. I have 109,354 miles on it as of right now. I want to drop a new motor in when my old motor dies or would it be better to rebuild my old motor now then to buy a new one? I don't want to turbo mai old motor.
thanks for the advice slow 420a

RE: Hey everybody
Best thing would be to rebuild your motor, their is no fabercation needed and much cheaper to do. How long it will last really depends on the cars condition. I have seen them blow up a 50k I have seen them go all the way to 200k and still run strong. It really comes down to how the last owner cared for the car. If you have bad compression numbers then the motor may fail on you... chances are though just daily driving that motor will take you to an easy 180k with out needing major work(only reason I say that is because you live near the ocean and the air has alot of salt in it). If you were to turbo the car I would expect it to last a 8psi for more them another 20k with that high millage, chances are you will blow the ring land, crack a piston, or spin a bearing.
