Just joined. I have an 04 RA Lancer and am considering a 91 eclipse for my son. Was joining to look for info/advise on the eclipse.

I have a 91 eclipse gs as my daily driver... if i bought another one i would definately get the gsx... but elcipses also seem to break a lot... so i would say the gs is a little more realiable. Depends really if you want somthing fun with potential or something to get ya around. I have an evo as well but needs a new clutch so needless to say i drive the gs most of the time right now... seems even though it has a lot wrong with it .. she will always start up and get me where i need to be )

Hoe old is your son? if hes like 15 than maybe a gs would be good for him... Wouldnt want him to wreak a more expensive gst or gsx while hes learning to drive...

 

Yeah...give him a weak car to start out with. :-p
