found it on autotrader. im approved for the loan. so now got to get here down here for the rest of the process.

 

Welcome and congrats on your soon to be, new purchase and although you're getting an RS, the Eclipse is still a great looking car in any trim.
If you haven't gathered, most of the Eclipse owners in here are geared (no pun intended) more towards the turbo model. Nonetheless, we have a lot of folks in here that can help you with the 420a motor and tranny if need be. The 420a is not a bad motor at all. It's not a powerful motor, but if that's not what you're looking for, then you'll be happy with it.

i would have loved to have got a gsx but the insurance would have been brutal if i could have found one that is. but i think i will love it.

 

Trust me you'll love it... I got my Eclipse GS for the same reason... it was a child hood dream. Its a good reliable car. I've had mine for a little over a year and havent had any problems with it... just maintain it regularly and you will have no problems
