Hi from Utah
I purchased a 2003 montero XLS and during inspection noticed a faint antifreeze smell. The previous owner took meticulous care of the vehicle but, I intend on replacing the timing belt and tensioner, head gaskets, intake and exhaust gaskets, as well as antifreeze. This vehicle has 207k on it and is as clean as they get.
I am very wanting to make this vehicle go another 150k and for the price I can definitely afford to put money in it to keep it reliable.
If you have experience with the montero and can suggest other repairs I should consider please feel free to respond. Thanks for being here!
