Howdy!!!
Just reclaimed my 2001 Mits. Montero Sport LX from my son. It has 99,505.6 miles on it now, and he only changed the oil and filter and air filter. I guess I am thankful for that. But, it needs some TLC.

What I have done:

1. Changed oil and installed PROPER filter....geez....
2. Changed air filter
3. Greased
4. cleaned and re-installed battery
5. New brakes and rotors turned
6. New shocks
7. Buffed headlights clear!!!

What I am fixin' to do:

1. Transmission oil and filter change.
2. Differential oil change.
3. Install trailer hitch.
4. New valve cover gaskets, and all bushing associated with them. (Spark plugs gaskets, cam end gaskets, and all else)
5. Change timing belt and other 2 fan type belts.
6. Change water pump since I am in there.
7. And give it a good cleaning.

My first big question is: How do I know if I have a limited slip differential? I want to use the the correct fluid. Can anybody help?
