Hey everyone, i just joined the forum to find some know how for stuff to do to my car.
I just bought my car a few months ago, its a stock, automatic, 98 eclipse. Im not sure if its
RS or GS, it didnt come with a manual and i cant find anything to tell me. Im planning on fixing it up, starting with
Intake headers and exhaust. Please let me know what you guys think as far as upgrading and feel free to offer me some tips :P

Check the firewall for a indenify plate that tells you the model. And welcome to the forum!

 

wouldn't it just say GS or RS on the back of the car? like below the wing/air foiler/spoiler.

 

The sticker might not be there anymore but yes it should.. Also i think the rs had no spoiler and the gs had a little one.

 

Ok well, the sticker is faded, but mine has a little spoiler , so its probably th GS
can you guys tell me what you think of getting this for xmas?

EDIT: Better question, do you guys think my car has any potential at all, or should i just leave it stock (cuz its automatic)?

 

My RS eclipse came with a spoiler lol

 

yeah my rs did too but the guy i got it from put a big ugly wing on it and ditched the stock spoiler so i had to replace it.

 

call the dealership and giv them your vin and they can tell you what model it is...

 

Looked up the vin and found out its an RS.
