Hi There, I'm new to the forum and I have a problem: The only key fob for my 08 Outlander has been lost. Is it possible to use the valet key to open and start the vehicle? I've heard that the alarm will sound if the fob is not present.

 

Dealer or locksmith is the reliable solution to the problem.

 

Thanks Peter. You are about 3.5 years late with your response LOL. Turns out the cab company in Calgary where I lost it, found and returned it to me (it took some serious digging on my part). End of the day, It still cost me about $1000 CAD to get back on the road considering towing charges and lost work time etc.
