I drive a rare 1992 1/2 3000 gt just bought from a local transmission. 5 speed 100k miles, beautiful car.... but i heard the motor in this car is notorious fer spinning bearings n that it is an interferance motor. Is there truth behind wut ive heard?

im not an expert but from what i understand, being an interference motor doesnt mean youll spin bearings. With the interference motor you have to watch out for the timing belt going because you blow a head from the valves hitting the pistons.

a interferance motor means if the T belt slips or snaps the valves will hit the pistons.

The early 3000GT vr4s are known to spin bearings
